(AUDIO) Agricultural Issues Academy Helps FFA Members Use Their Voice

The Agricultural Issues Academy kicked off it’s fifth year in Lincoln Friday with 30 FFA members from across the state that were chosen to make up this year’s class.

Participants got to hear from their state legislators, Lt. Governor Mike Foley, Kristi Boswell- Senior Advisor to Secretary Sonny Perdue, Gracie Furnish- National FFA Eastern Region Vice President, Jana McGuire- Center for Food Integrity, and Ruth Ready- Common Ground. They also went through media training hearing from KTIC Farm Broadcaster Chad Moyer, NTV Grow’s Steve White, and Taylor Hart with the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. They then followed up with interviews with several other agricultural broadcasters from across the state.
