Minutemaids Finish 4th At State 


The Lexington Minutmaids competed at the Girls Class B State Track and Field Championships and placed 4th with 42 points. Madison Smith took 1st in the long jump with a leap of 19-01, 1st in the 100 with a time of 12.3, 3rd in the 400 with a time of 58.16, and 1st in the 200. Madison Sutton took 6th in the discus with a toss of 130-04 and 6th in the shot put with a toss of 41-01. Complete Class B Girls results can be found here. 

Lexington Boys Win First Track Title In 31 Years


For the first time since 1988, the Lexington Boys Track team won the Class B team title as they edged McCook 70-68 on Saturday in Omaha at the NSAA meet. The title was still in doubt going into the final event. Lexington placed 8th in the 1600-meter relay while McCook did not earn points in that event. Ajack Waiker had a monster of a meet for Lexington as he won the 300 Hurdles, Triple Jump and High Jump while finishing second in the Long Jump. Tim Nyinguan was second in the Triple Jump and 2nd in the 400-meter dash. Alexis Hernandez had a big weekend with a second place finish in the 3200-meter run and 4th in 1600-meter run. Ean Bailey was 7th in the Pole Vault and the 1600-meter relay team of Yanni Vasquez Garcia, Derek Rojas, Alexis Hernandez, Timothy Nyinguan placed 8th. Complete Class B Boys results can be found here.

Lady Dusters Fare Well At Omaha 


Holdrege's Girls Track and Field team competed at the Class B State Track and Field Championships and finished 15th with 18.5 points. In the pole vault, Samantha Schemper took 2nd with a jump of 10-06 and Sierra Schemper tied for 3rd with a leap of 10-06. In the 3200-meter relay, Sydney Reed, Kenzie Hurlbert, Megen Belgum, and Jirsie Klein placed 6th with a time of 10:18.5. Reed also took 7th in the mile with a time of 5:32.86. Dusters Place In One Event At State

Anderson Places In Three Events For Lady Swedes 


Gothenburg's Girls Track and Field Team competed in Omaha this past week and came away with three medals, Hannah Anderson won three, two individually, and the other in the 4x100-meter relay. Anderson took 2nd in the 800 with a time of 2:22.53 and 8th in the 500 with a time of 1:03.51. The 4x100-meter relay of Alexis Bliven, Amaya Ackerman, Bella Rickertsen, and Anderson took 8th with a time of 50.72. Complete Class B Girls results can be found here. 

Pole Vault And Relays Highlight Swedes Efforts At Omaha 


Gothenburg traveled to Omaha for the Boys State Track and Field Championships and came away with great results. Tyce Hruza set a new Class B State Record with a jump of 16-02 in the pole vault, winning the event for the second year in a row. Gothenburg then showed off their speed by taking 5th in the 400-meter relay with a time of 43.93. Members of the relay were Marc Ackerman, Hruza, Wyatt Hotz, and Trenton Harbur. Gothenburg's 1600-meter relay of Ryan Healy, Hruza, Harbur, and Ackerman took 3rd with a time of 3:27.58. Complete Class B Boys results can be found here.

Megan Burkholder Wins Class B Girl's Pole Vault 


Cozad had five athletes qualify for the Girls Class B State Track and Field Championships, but only one was able to medal, but it was a big one. Megan Burkholder defended her pole vault championship by winning with a height of 11-03.  Complete Class B Girls results can be found here. 


Haymakers Unable To Place At Burke Stadium 


Cozad was unable to place in the Boys Class B State Track and Field State Championships, but the 4x800-meter relay of Austin Werner, Gabriel Estrada, Coner Geiger, and Jacob Sub finished 16th with a time of 8:57.2. Southern Valley Lady Eagles Take Home One Medal 


Southern Valley traveled to Omaha for the Girls Class D State Track and Field Championships and came home with one medal. Brianna Russell finished 3rd in the high jump with a leap of 5-03. Clayton Berry Takes 6th In Long Jump, Quinn 8th In 300-Meter Hurdles


Southern Valley competed at the Boys Class C State Track and Field Championships this past weekend and had two athletes place. Clayton Berry took 6th in the long jump with a bound of 20-00.5. Lady Buffaloes Take Home One Medal 


Elm Creek's Girls Track and Field Team competed at the Class C Girls Track and Field State Championships this past weekend and came away with one medal. Taylor Moes placed 3rd in the triple jump with a bound of 35-06.5. Moes also finished 11th in the long jump with a leap of 15-10.75. Sam Knapp took 10th in the pole vault with a jump of 9-06. Lady Vikings Compete At State Track 


Bertrand qualified a number of athletes to the Girls Class D State Track and Field Championships this past weekend and came away with some nice performances and some medals as well. Erin Boggs took 5th in the pole vault with a jump of 9-06. The 4x100-meter relay of Yesenia Lopez, Aleya Hueftle, Ern Boggs, and Grace Schwarz placed 7th with a time of 53.06. Grace Schwarz placed 4th in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.1. Boggs also placed 5th in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 49.16. Bertrand Finishes 21st As A Team 


Bertrand competed at the Boys Class D State Track and Field Championships this past weekend and scored 11.5 points pegging them at 21st. Sam Maloley took 5th in the pole vault with a jump of 13-00. Maggie Walker Represents Eustis-Farnam At Omaha 


Maggie Walker was the lone Eustis-Farnam athlete to compete at the Class D State Track and Field Championships. She was unable to place in the 100-meter dash, but she did run a time of 13.21. Complete results from the Girls Class D Meet can be found here.

Hickey Finishes 14th At Omaha 


Taylor Hickey was the lone Lady Pirate to qualify for the Girls Class D State Track and Field Meet and her event was the mile. She finished 14th with a time of 5:52.04. Complete results from the Girls Class D Meet can be found here.

Elwood Boys Compete At Omaha 


Elwood had a nice showing at the Boys State Track and Field Championships as they finished 22nd with 11 points. Jordan Kranz finished 19th in the 800 with a time of 2:11.43. Lady Wildcats Place 4th At State 


Axtell competed at the Girls State Track and Field Championships and the Lady Wildcats placed 4th with 33 points. Camille Fishell took 3rd in the triple jump with a leap of 34-06.75. In the 400-meter relay, Axtell took 1st with a time of 52.24. The members of that relay were Kailey Trampe, Jessica Bertrand, Fishell, and Erica Bertrand. Erica Bertrand took 3rd in the 400 with a time of 1:00.86 and 8th in the 200 with a time of 27.55. Axtell's 4x400-meter relay of Trampe, Jessica Bertrand, Fishell, and Erica Bertrand won the event with a time of 4:07.98. Complete results from the Girls Class D Meet can be found here.


Wildcats Win Class D State Title 


Axtell last year won the Class D State Track and Field Championships and this year they repeated giving them their third title ever. This year they posted 66 points as a team, 19 points ahead of the runner-up. Creighton Kring won the triple jump with a leap of 46-03.75 and 3rd in the long jump with a leap of 21-09.25 6th in the 100 with a time of 11.33, and 2nd in the 200 with a time of 22.66. Axtell then took 6th in the 3200-meter relay with a time of 8:46.9. Lincoln Trent won the 3200-meter run with a time of 10:07.74 and 1st in the mile with a time of 4:37.54. Lane Bertrand took 2nd in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.62 and 4th in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 40.80. Tyler Danburg finished 7th in the 400 with a time of 52.25. Two Lady Mustangs Battle At Burke 


SEM had two Lady Mustangs qualify for the Girls State Track and Field Championships. Abbie Rhode finished 20th in the long jump with a bound of 14-05.25. Jenaya Pierce finished 13th with a time of 13:25.51 in the 3200-meter run. Complete results from the Girls Class D Meet can be found here.

Carson Rhode Places In Both Throws At State 


Carson Rhode competed at the Boys State Track and Field Championships and placed in both throwing events. Rhode placed 6th in the shot put with a toss of 47-10 and 2nd in the discus with a throw of 146-08. Complete results from the Boys Class D Meet can be found here.

Billeter Competes At Omaha For Loomis 


Loomis' Alexis Billeter competed at Omaha for the Class D State Track and Field Championships. Billeter finished 18th in the 800 with a time of 2:35.49. She also finished 12th in the mile with a time of 5:50.99. Complete results from the girls Class D Meet can be found here.

Pair Of Wolves Compete At Omaha 


Loomis had two athletes compete at the Class D Boys State Track and Field Championships, and the Wolves came away with some medals. Josh Marcy finished 10th in the shot put with a throw of 45-09.5 but then won the discus with a toss of 154-00. Issac Wahls placed 4th in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.77. Meier Places 7th In 800 


Maeli Meier competed at Omaha this past week for the State Track and Field Championships and came away with a medal in one for the two events she competed in. Meier took 7th in the 800 with a time of 2:28.44. In the 400, she was unable to qualify for finals as she ran a time of 1:02.68. Complete results from the Girls Class D Meet can be found here.

Eagles Fare Well At Burke Stadium


Overton had three athletes compete at the State Track and Field Championships and had solid results. Morgan Wallace didn't place in the 800 but ran a time of 2:08.98. Braden Kizer finished 11th in the triple jump with a bound of 40-09.75, he had a leap of 5-08 in the high jump, finishing 23rd, and took home 5th in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.9. Lady Swedes Send 11 To Omaha


It was a great B-6 District Meet for Gothenburg as the Lady Swedes took 1st with 89 points and 11qualifiers. Amaya Ackerman took 2nd in the long jump with a leap of 16-04.5. The 3200-meter relay of Eve Healey, Arissa Ackerman, Jaiden Davis, and Courtney Harpole took 1st with a time of 10:36.53. Hannah Anderson won the 800 with a time of 2:22.21. The 400-meter relay of Bella Rickertsen, Hannah Anderson, Ackerman, and Alexis Bliven took 1st with a time of 51.02. Kaitlyn Kleinknecht placed 3rd in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 17.09 and Lauren Johnson took 2nd with a time of 16.91. Anderson ran a 59.47 in the 400 to win the event. Liliana Sitorius took 2nd in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 48.62. The 4x400-meter relay of Anderson, Ackerman, Rickertson, and Bliven with a time of 4:13.92. Six Athletes Qualify For State 


Gothenburg finished 5th as a team at the B-6 District with 43 points, and the Swedes qualified six athletes. Minutemaids Qualify Nine Athletes, Win B-5 District 


Lexington hosted the B-5 District Meet this past week and they won the title with 108 points and they qualified nine athletes. Kayla Barrios qualified in the 3200-meter run with a time of 12:27.31 placing her 4th, she took 4th in the mile as well with a time of 5:43.09, fast enough to get into the state meet, and she's a member of the 4x400-meter relay as it placed 3rd with a time of 4:13.15, other members of relay include Mollie Rowe, Jacquelin Ostrom, and Liah Haines. Kennadi Ureste took 2nd in the 3200-meter run with a time of 12:19.89. The 4x100-meter relay of Mia Rowe, Megan Dang, Jacquelin Ostrom, and Mollie Rowe took 3rd but had a time of 51.69 to get them into state. Mia Rowe also qualified in the triple jump as she placed 3rd with a distance of 34-08. Madison Smith took 1st in the long jump with a bound of 18-11.5, 1st in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.27, 1st in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.29, and 1st in the 400-meter run with a time of 58.14. Maddi Sutton took 2nd in the shot put with a throw of 41-08 and then 1st in the discus with a toss of 136-07. The State Track and Field Championships will take place on Friday and Saturday. Minutemen Win B-5 District Sen Eight Athletes To Omaha 


The Minutemen hosted the B-5 District Meet this past week and won the meet and have eight athletes going to Omaha for the State Track and Field Championships. Fernando Barrios took 2nd in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.23. Ean Bailey won the pole vault with a jump of 13-11. Alexis Hernandez won the 800 with a time of 2:04.19, 4th in the 3200-meter run with a time of 10:06.09, that time was good enough to make it to state, 3rd in the mile with a time of 4:40.64, fast enough to get him in that event, and he is a member of the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:30.05. Other members of the relay include Timothy Ram Nyinguan, Derek Rojas, and Yanni Vasquez Garcia. Draake Taylor had a fast 3rd in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.46. Ajack Waikur took 1st in the long jump with a leap of 21-09.5, 1st in the triple jump with a bound of 46-06, 1st in the high jump with a jump of 6-05, and 2nd in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 40.67. Lady Haymakers Send Eight Athletes To Omaha 


Cozad competed at the B-6 District Meet this past week and placed 4th with 69 points. Megan Burkholder took 1st in the pole vault with a jump of 11-00. In the 3200-meter run, they placed 2nd with a time of 10:47.71. Margaret McGinnis took 3rd in the 800 as she had a fast time of 2:33.06 to get her to Omaha. The 400-meter relay of Burkholder, Jercey Irish, Brittney Aitken, and Mckenzie Lee finished 2nd with a time of 51.11. Aitken and Irish will compete in the 100 as the went 1st and 3rd with Aitken running a 12.77 and Irish with a 13.07. In the 200, Aitken took 2nd with a time of 27.19 and 3rd of Irish with a time of 27.45, that time got her in as well. The State Track and Field Championships will take place on Friday and Saturday. Members of the relay are Austin Werner, Gabriel Estrada, Connor Geiger, and Jacob Sub. Ryan Melroy recorded a 5th place finish in the 400 with a time of 1:03.59, but that was fast enough to get her into state. Hurlbert and Reed will also compete in the mile as Hurlbert took 5th with a time of 5:43.37 and Reed win the event with a time of 5:36.71. Holdrege had a solid outing at the B-5 District Meet in Lexington as five athletes will be representing the Dusters this week in Omaha. Tyler Jacobsen took 5th int he pole vault with a height of 13-06 and Trevor Scheele placed 2nd with a vault of 13-10. Caden Erickson placed 5th but his time of 10:12.21 was good enough to get him to Omaha. Tyler Peterson took 3rd in the 800 but that was fast enough to get him to Omaha with a time of 2:04.78. Aaron Drews will compete in both hurdles as he took 3rd in the 110's with a time of 15.56 and 4th in the 300's with a time of 42.12. The State Track and Field Championships will take place on Friday and Saturday. Camille Fishell took 2nd in the long jump with a leap of 16-05.5 and 1st in the triple jump with a jump of 34-07. Kailey Trampe took 2nd in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.76. Jessica Bertrand took 2nd in the 200 with a time of 27.04. Erica Bertrand won the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:00.61. The 400-meter relay of Trampe, Erica Bertrand, Jessica Bertrand, and Fishell with a time of 52.05. The 1600-meter relay composed of the same athletes won with a time of 4:14.47. Axtell Dominates D-6 District Meet 


Axtell competed at the D-6 District Meet this past week and won the invite with 147 points. Dustin Klingsporn placed 3rd with a jump of 13-02 in the pole vault. Creighton Kring won the long jump with a leap of 20-7.75, 1st in the triple jump with a bound of 43-07.75, 2nd in the 100 with a time of 11.46, and 1st in the 200 with a time of 22.9. Tyler Danburg will run in the 400-meter dash as he took home 2nd with a time of 51.73. Calvin Johnson took 2nd in the 800 with a time of 2:07.93. Lincoln Trent took 1st in the mile with a time of 4:47.0 and 1st in the 3200-meter run with a time of 10:32.44. Zach Hinrichs took 3rd with a time of 4:59.81 in the mile making him an additional qualifier. In the two-mile, Axtell had two more qualifiers as Jaron Bergstrom took 3rd with a time of 10:39.31 and Elijah Lopez placed 4th with a time of 10:51.87. Lane Bertrand took 1st in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.96 and 1st in the 300-meter hurdle with a time of 40.84. The 1600-meter  relay took 1st with a time of 3:33.52 and members of that are Bertrand, Johnson, Danburg, and Trent. The 3200-meter relay of Johnson, Peterson, Jacob Wehrer, and Hinrichs took 1st with a time of 8:46.53. The State Track and Field Championships will take place on Friday and Saturday. Lady Pirates Qualify One Athlete To State


Taylor Hickey was able to qualify for the State Track and Field Championships in Omaha this week. Hickey ran a 6:01.6 in the mile to win the event at the D-7 District Meet. Hickey will represent Elwood this week at the State Track and Field Championships which take place on Friday and Saturday. Team results can be found below.

Elwood Sends Two Pirates To Elwood 


Elwood competed at the D-7 District Meet this past week and they qualified two athletes. Zacob Evans qualified in the 100 with a time of 11.48 taking 1st, he placed 1st in the 200 with a time of 23.38, and 1st in the 400 with a time of 51.16. Jordan Kranz took 2nd in the 800 with a time of 2:10.42, qualifying him for state. The State Track and Field Championships take place on Friday and Saturday. Team results can be found below.

Lady Wolves Qualify One Athlete 


Loomis had one Lady Wolf qualify for the State Track and Field Championships for this week. Billeter qualified in the 800 as she took 1st with a time of 2:31.61 and in the mile, she placed 2nd with a time of 6:06.79. She will look to place at Omaha at the State Track and Field Championships this week that take place Friday and Saturday. Team results can be found below.

Wolves Qualify Two To State 


Loomis competed at the D-7 District Track and Field Meet this past week and they were able to qualify two athletes for the State Track and Field Championships. Issac Wahls won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.01. Marcy qualified in both throws taking 1st in the shot put with a toss of 46-11 and in the discus he set a new school record with a 1st place finish and a throw of 181-04. Lady Vikings Win D-7 District Meet 


Bertrand competed in the D-7 District Track and Field Meet this past week and they were able to qualify six athletes. Erin Boggs qualified in the 300-meter hurdles as she won with a time of 48.26, 3rd in the pole vault with a jump of 9-04, 2nd in the high jump with a leap of 4-11, and a member of the 4x100-meter relay that won with a time of 54.13. Jada High qualified in the pole vault with a jump of 9-00 which placed her 2nd. Aleya Hueftle qualified in the 4x100-meter relay that won with a time of 54.13. Yesenia Lopez took 2nd in the 200 with a time of 28.23 qualifying her and she was a member of the 4x100-meter relay. Lindsay Schutz won the shot put with a toss of 35-08. Grace Schwarz won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.23, 3rd in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 50.1, which was fast enough to get her to Omaha, she's a member of the 4x100-meter relay, and she won the triple jump with a bound of 33-02. Bertrand Wins D-7 District Meet


Bertrand won the D-7 District Track and Field Meet this past week and six athletes qualified for State this week. Bertrand's 4x100-meter relay set a new school record with a time of 45.13 winning the event and those members are Sam Maloley, Autin Long, Jonah Nelson, and Ethan Klingenberg. Klingenberg also took 2nd in the 100 with a time of 11.65. Maloley also qualified int he pole vault as he took 1st with a jump of 12-08. Miles Peterson qualified in the long jump with a bound of 19-04.5. Josiah Zeiger won the 3200-meter run with a time of 11:15.93. The State Track and Field Championships are Friday and Saturday this week. Team results can be found below.

Eustis-Farnam competed in the D-7 District Track and Field Meet this past week and the Lady Knights qualified one athlete. Maggie Walker qualified in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.51, which placed her 2nd at districts. The State Track and Field Championships are Friday and Saturday this week. Nathaniel Hodge was the lone placer in the meet as he took 6th in the triple jump with a bound of 35-01. The State Track and Field Championships are Friday and Saturday this week.
