Southern Valley Places 5th at Bertrand Invite


Southern Valley traveled to fellow RPAC conference member Bertrand and competed in their track invite. In the 400, Ivan Varela placed 1st with a time of 53.2. Varela also took 5th in the 800 with a time of 2:15.1. In the long jump, Billie Paine placed 4th with a leap of 18-06. Brant Grove placed 3rd in the discus with a throw of 119-0. In the two mile, Dalton Yost placed 4th with a time pf 11:46.5. Meet results can be found below:

Lady Eagles Compete at Bertrand


Southern Valley battled on the track and field last Thursday at Bertrand and came away with some good performances. Becca Lennamann placed 1st in the 400 with a time of 1:03. Maggie Bose placed 6th in the mile with a time of 6:32.4. Kylee Woodring finished 4th in the shot put with a toss of 33-04. Savana Quinn placed 3rd in 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.2 and 3rd in 300-meter hurdles with a time of 50.30. Meet results can be found below:

SEM Placed 4th at Bertrand Invite 


SEM competed at Bertran on Thursday and the Mustangs took home 4th place as a team. Jason Line had a busy day as he placed 2nd in the high jump with a height of 5-10, 4th in the triple jump with a leap of 39-0, and 2nd in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.0. The 4x100 meter relay placed 3rd for SEM with a time of 48.40. Trace Claflin also placed in the high jump as he leaped 5-08. Meet results can be found below:

Lady Mustangs Place 8th Amongst 11 Teams


SEM had another track meet as they competed at Bertrand. The Lady Mustangs placed 8th in the tough field of teams. Jenaya Pierce placed 5th in the mile with a time of 6:30.5.  Sara Ripp placed 1st in the high jump with a leap of 4-10. In the long and triple jump, Lindsey Ditmar placed. Her long jump length was 14-08 and that was good enough for 3rd place and in the triple jump, she placed 2nd with a leap of 31-11.5.  Meet results can be found below:

Elwood traveled to Bertrand on Thursday and competed at their meet and found some success. Aaron Clouse finished 4th in the 200 with a time if 23.5. Zacob Evans had a good day in the long distance runs as he took 1st in the 3200-meter run with a time of 11:25 and 4th in the mile with a time of 5:16.4. Elwood had another track meet, this time at Bertrand, and the Lady Pirates took 4th place with 54 points. Taylor Hickey took 3rd in the 400 with a time of 1:05.7 and 2nd in the 800 with a time of 2:38.3. Tiffany Dickau took home two 1st place medals. One in the mile as she ran a 5:40.4 and the other was in the 3200-meter run with a time of 12:14.1. In the 300-meter hurdles, Hadley Martin took home 6th place with a time of 54.2. Knights Have Solid Day at Bertrand Invite


Eustis-Farnam competed at Bertrand's invite last week and had some solid individual performances. Adrian Gerken placed in three individual events as he took 3rd in the triple jump with a bound of 39-06.5, 3rd in the mile with a time of 5:14.9, and 6th in the 300 hurdles with a time of 46.7. The 3200-meter relay took home 6th place with a time of 10:34.8. and that was composed of Blake Schmidt, Spencer Pleschourt, Mason Head, and Adrian Gerken. Gerken was the solid performer for the Knights and head Coach Caleb Wall liked what he saw. "He ran a nice mile against district opponents from Bertrand and Elwood. His entry in the 300 hurdles is the first time he has ran that race. He placed 6th coming out of a slower heat and ran a solid race for the first time in that event," said Wall. Lady Knights Compete at Tough Meet


Eustis-Farnam had another meet this time at the Bertrand Invite. Ali Jones placed 5th in the triple jump with a leap of 29-07.5. Micky Blender also took home a medal in the 400 with a time of 1:09.3. Head Coach Caleb Wall was pleased with the way Blender and Jones competed at the meet. "Ali was very consistent with her attempts; placing four jumps within nine inches of that best mark. In the 400, Micky Blender ran well and was rewarded for her efforts with a 6th place finish," said Wall. Overton competed at the Bertrand invite last week and they finished 8th amongst the field of teams. In the 110-meter hurdles, two Eagles placed as Keith Murphy placed 5th with a time of 17.2 and Braden Kizer finished 6th with a time of 17.5. Loomis Competes at Bertrand Invite 


Loomis went a few miles down the road and competed at the Bertrand Track Invite. Levi Asp placed 1st in the 100 with a time of 11.5 and 1st in the 200 with a time of 23.6. In the 800, a pair of Wolves placed in the 800 with Brian Hemmele taking 2nd with a time of 2:10.5 and Anthony Young placing 3rd with a time of 2:12.6. Josh Marcy placed 2nd in the discus with a throw of 138-11. In the hurdles, Issac Wahls placed 3rd in the 110's with a time of 16.0 and in the 300's he took 2nd with a time of 44.7. Cozad had another meet this time in Minden and the Haymakers had some good performances. Cameron Griffis placed 5th in the 200 with a time of 24.5 and 1st in the 400 with a time of 53.1. Gothenburg hosted their track meet last week and the Swedes placed 8th amongst the nine teams there. In the 110-meter hurdles, AJ Whiting placed 4th with a time of 16.26. Lexington Places 3rd at Aurora


Lexington competed at Aurora's track meet on Wednesday and the Minutemen placed 3rd as a team with 88 points. Dalton Schumaker placed 3rd in the 100 with a time of 12.03. Schumaker also placed 3rd in the 200 a time of 24.25. In the two mile, Yanni Vasquez placed 4th with a time of 10:56.92. The 4x100 relay placed 1st and ran a time of 45.78. Minutemaids Compete at Aurora


Lexington had another solid day on the track at Aurora last Wednesday. Madison Smith placed 1st in the 400 with a time of 1:00.93. Smith also won the long jump with a leap of 17-0. Head Coach Sam Jilka had this to say about Madi Smith's performances, "Madi Smith continued to have strong showings in the 400 and the long jump, winning both." In the mile, three Minutemaids placed as Leah Treffer took 4th with a time of 6:09.76, Jessica Virgillo placed 5th with a time of 6:18.36, and Yailin Santoyo took 6th place with a time of 6:19.53. Lexington also had good success in the relays. They took 2nd in the 4x100 with a time of 53.5, 2nd in the 4x400 with a time of 4:17.56, and 2nd in the 4x800 meter relay with a time of 10:18.26. Holdrege Places 3rd at Broken Bow Invite


Holdrege competed at the Broken Bow invite and the Dusters placed 3rd in an extremely tough field of teams. Peyton McMurty placed 2nd in the 400 with a time of 53.4. Another 1st place medal came for Trevor Matousek as he ran a 2:01.3 time in the 800. The mile was a strong event for Holdrege as Matousek placed 1st with a time of 4:44.9, Tyler Peterson placed 3rd with a time of 4:49, and Gavin Klein placed 4th with a time of 4:56.4. Tim Kaslon and Dylan Bauman were leaders in the field events, as Kaslon took 2nd in the long jump with a leap of 20-04.5 and Bauman won the triple jump with a jump of 40-05. Lady Dusters Take Title at Broken Bow


Holdrege won a team title last week, as the Lady Dusters took 1st with 145 points at Broken Bow. There were a number of strong performances for the Lady Dusters. Jacee Pfeifer had a big day, placing 2nd in the 200 with a time of 26.9, 1st in the 400 with a time of 1:00.6, and 1st in the pole vault with a vault of 11-04. Pfeifer was also a member of the 4x400 meter relay that placed 3rd with a time of 4:18.8. Other members of the relay were Ryan Melroy, Carly Janssen, and Baylee Barnett.  Barnett built off of that strong 4x800 relay and she won the mile with a time of 5:34.1. In the 100-meter hurdles, Jordan Hilyard placed 2nd with a time of 17.4 and Caitlin Piening placed 4th with a time of 17.9. Meet results can be found below:

Gothenburg battled amongst seven teams last week at the Broken Bow Invite and they placed 6th, recording 26 points. Dillon Wilkerson placed 6th in the 200 with a time of 24.2. AJ Whiting placed 3rd in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.1. In the high jump, Gothenburg had two athletes place with AJ Whiting placing 4th with a jump of 5-08 and Josh Olsen placed 6th with a leap of 5-02. Lady Swedes Place 4th at Broken Bow


Gothenburg competed at the Broken Bow Invite and the Lady Swedes had some solid performances. Andie Geiken placed 1st in the 200 with a time of 26.8. Geiken also placed 4th in the 400 with a time of 1:01.9. In the 800, Courtney Harpole placed 4th with a time of 2:30.7 and Madison Harpole placed 5th with a time of 2:35. Cozad Competes at Broken Bow Invite


Cozad had another track meet this past week and it was in Broken Bow. Cozad placed 7th out of the seven teams scoring 20 points. In the 400-meter dash, Cameron Griffis placed 3rd with a time of 53.7. The 4x100 meter relay team composed of Jordan Menagh, Devin Lytton, Jonathan Neil, and Geoffrey Brandenberg placed sixth with a time of 47.4. In the 100,  two Lady Haymakers placed as Darci Hoffmaster took 1st with a time of 12.7 and Jercey Irish placed 3rd with a time of 13.3. In the 3200-meter run, Whitney Applegate placed 5th with a time of 13:11.8. Ellie Stallbaumer placed 6th in the shot put with a toss of 32-08.5. Vikings Compete Well in Axtell 


Bertrand competed in Axtell on Friday and the Vikings placed 2nd amongst the 10 team field. Andy Stephens had a good day in the discus, placing 4th with a toss of 121-09. In the long jump, Miles Peterson placed 4th with a leap of 18-09. Isaiah Schwarz placed 6th in the high jump with a leap of 5-02. In the shot put Creighton Peterson placed 1st with a throw of 44-09. Lady Vikings Take Team Title at Axtell 


Bertrand took home another girls team title on Friday as the Lady Vikings scored 139 points at the Axtell invite. The 4x800 relay composed of Grace Straight, Kaylee Anderson, Tessa Callahan, and Grace Schwarz placed 1st with a time of 11:27.3. In the 100-meter hurdles, Halle Dahlgren took 4th place with a time of 17.6. Jada High also placed in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 21.6. Elm Creek Places 3rd


Elm Creek competed at Axtell's track invitational on Friday and the Buffaloes placed 3rd as a team. There were some strong individual performances at the meet for Elm Creek as well. Nate Bartling placed 2nd in the discus with a throw of 155-02. In the long jump, Dominic Johns placed 3rd with a leap of 19-06. Devon Walker grabbed a 2nd place medal in the pole vault with a vault of 11-06. Tanner Swartwood also placed in the pole vault with a vault of 11-00 and that was good enough for 5th place. Loomis competed at the Axtell invite on Friday and they placed 3rd as a team recording 58 points. Josh Marcy took home 1st in the discus with a throw of 155-02. In the triple jump, Brian Hemmele took 2nd place with a leap of 40-03.5. Hemmele also grabbed a 1st place medal in the 800 with a time of 2:19.4. Axtell hosted their track meet on Friday and they won it accumulating 132 points. Hunter Stratman placed 3rd in the discus with a throw of 123-01. Creighton Kring battled in the long jump and placed 2nd with a leap of 20-01. Braiden Gomez had a good day, placing 4th in the pole vault with a vault of 11-0, 1st in the 100 with a time of 10.8, and 1st in the 200 with a time of 22.7. Axtell hosted their meet on Friday and the Lady Wildcats placed 2nd as a team with 135.5 points. Sophie Mellema placed 1st in the high jump with a leap of 4-08. Camille Fishell also placed in the high jump with a 6th place finish and a leap of 4-02. In the triple jump, two Lady Wildcats placed again as Paige Kirby finished 5th with a leap of 29-04.25 and Katrina Clubb placed 6th with a bound of 27-10.25. With a depleted group of athletes due to state FFA, SEM competed at Axtell and was unable to get on the board for scoring. In the discus throw, Jacob Sleicher tossed it 76-11. That placed him 19th. Sleicher also competed in the shot put and tossed it 30-00. In the 400-meter dash, Fabian Lopez-Augado ran a time of 1:07.6. Meet results can be found below:

Lady Mustangs Battle at Axtell 


A number of athletes for SEM were gone at state FFA, but the Lady Mustangs competed hard at Axtell and they finished 10th amongst the 10 team field. Madison Bosak placed 6th in the shot put with a toss of 28-11.5. Bosak also finished 9th in the discus with toss of 75-05. Jennifer Guerra threw the discus also and she finished 10th with a throw of 73-06.

Overton had another track meet this past week and it was in Axtell. The Eagles 6th amongst the 10 teams at the meet, tallying 36 points. In the long jump, Josh Thompson placed 5th with a leap of 17-0. In the high jump, Braden Kizer placed 4th with a leap of 5-06. Kizer also placed 5th in the triple jump with a bound of 38-0. Knights Compete at Axtell Invite


Eustis-Farnam competed at the Axtell track meet on Friday and they finished 8th amongst the 10 teams competing. Kaleb Gibbens placed 6th in the discus with a throw of 117-03. Gibbens also placed in the shot put, throwing 40-06 and that was good enough for 3rd place. Adrian Gerken competed well for the Knights, placing 2nd in the mile with a time of 5:18.6 and 4th in the triple jump with a leap of 38-02. The 3200-meter relay composed of Blake Schmidt, Spencer Pleschourt, Alex Bethancourt, and Mason Head placed 4th with a time of 12:46. Head coach Caleb Wall had this to say about the realy's performance, "We had a group of boys who saw an opening in the 4X800 Meter Relay and put together a relay team. Blake Schmidt, Spencer Pleschourt, Alex Bethancourt, and Mason Head are not typical half-milers, but they did earn points for the team by putting forth their best efforts." Lady Knights Place 8th at Axtell 

Eustis-Farnam had another track meet this past week and the Lady Knights placed 8th in the field of teams. Ali Jones led the way for the Lady Knights as she placed in the triple jump with a leap of 30-07, 4th in the discus with a throw of 101-01, and 5th in the shot put with a throw of 30-01.5. Head Coach Caleb Wall had this to say about Jones's performance. "Ali Jones had a great day for us. She continues to improve in the triple jump. Her series of jumps ranged from mid-28 feet to her best of 30’7. It is nice to see her performing so consistently in an event that she has just started to compete in. Her throws were both personal bests and it was great to see her hit 100 feet in the discus," said Wall. Sammy Jack ran in the 100-meter dash and she ran a time of 16.1. Swedes Finish 7th at Ogallala


Gothenburg competed at the Ed Moore invite last week and the Swedes placed 7th amongst the eight-team field. Relays were the strength for the Swedes. The 4x100 meter relay for Gothenburg placed 6th with a time of 47.5 and members of the relay were Dillon Wilkerson, Tyce Hruza, Alex Garner, and Caden Geiken. The 4x400 meter relay did well also, placing 6th with a time of 3:52.23 and that team was composed of Ryan Healy, Logan Carlson, Dillon Wilkerson, and Caden Geiken. The 4x800 relay placed 5th with a time of 9:28.51. That relay was composed of Ryan Healy, Blake Riley, Mason Mendell, and Kenny Shuman. Pat Hudson placed 2nd in the discus with a toss of 143-08. The pole Vault was successful for Gothenburg as Tyce Hruza placed 2nd with a vault of 13-02 and Wyatt Holz placed 3rd with a vault of 13-02. Meet results can be found below:

Cozad Competes at Ed Moore Invite 


Cozad headed west last week as they competed at Ogallala. The Haymakers finished 8th out of the eight teams competing. The 4x800 meter relay team of Blaine Emerson, Ben Wetovick, Conor Geiger and Chandler Brock placed 3rd with a time of 9:21.36. In the pole vault, Jordan Menagh placed 5th with a vault of 12-08. Cameron Griffis was just out of placing in the 400 with a 7th place finish and a time of 54.75. Chandler Brock was another Haymaker just outside of placing, finishing 8th in the 3200-meter run with a time of 12:00.45. Meet results can be found below:

Cozad had another meet and this time it was in Ogallala. Darci Hoffmaster placed 1st with a time of 13.12. Hoffmaster also placed in the 200 with a time of 27.74 and that was good enough for 3rd. Whitney Applegate placed 3rd in the 3200-meter run and her time was 12:57.02. Hanna Wright placed in both hurdles, taking 4th in the 100's with a time of 17.55 and 3rd in the 300's with a time of 52.39.
