Hastings college wins in Florida

Miami, FL - The Hastings College men's basketball team finished its trip to Miami, FL with a victory over Florida Memorial 76-57 on Sunday afternoon at the Chester Robinson Center while going 1-1 on the trip. Hastings unlike the night before dominated the glass against the Lions 49-26 but still couldn't manage to pull away from FMU until late in the game. Hastings led 55-49 as the Lions opportunistic defense kept FMU in the game forcing 16 Bronco turnovers but HC would go on a 21-8 run to finish out the game. Brady Lollman led the Broncos with a game high 21 points on 7-for-14 shooting. Ibou Fall finished with a double-double going for 12 points and 12 rebounds. Jake Hamburger finished in double digits with ten points of his own. Zach Lenagh also finished in double digits in rebounds pulling down 11 while finishing with eight points. Samuel Dorismond led the Lions with 17 points on 6-for-19 shooting.

The Bronco defense would hold FMU to just 33 percent shooting including just 27 percent in the second half. With the win, Hastings improves to 12-3 (6-1) on the year and will be back in action Saturday Jan. 4 hitting the road to take on Dakota Wesleyan with tip-off set for 4:00 p.m. in Mitchell, SD at the Corn Palace.
