Lawmakers in final week of session
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) _ Some spending bills are falling by the wayside as Nebraska lawmakers prepare to finish the legislative session next month.

Senator Heath Mello of Omaha, who heads the budget-writing Appropriations Committee, says lawmakers can still pass all of the bills that are waiting for a third and final vote. The proposals include new spending on foster care programs, locally focused juvenile services, and an airplane to help fight
Lawmakers are set to adjourn on June 5th.
