Lexington girls win, Aurora boys win
Lexington and Aurora split their girl/boy doubleheader basketball games in Lexington Saturday night. Mackenzie McKeone of Lexington hit a base line 3 pointer at the buzzer to push the girls game into overtime and Lexington went on to win 38-33 with the Minutemaids' Hannah Ostrom scoring all of the extra session point with 5 to lead Lexington to the win. Ostrom ended up with 19 point while Taylor Thiele lead Aurora with 9 points.
Aurora won the boys games 47 to 36 behind 13 points from Blake Williams and double digit scoring from Alex Hunt with 11 and 10 from Ben McQuistan. Lewis Lewis tallied 10 for the Minutemen.
Next week Lexington will be involved in the East-West Shootout.
