Fan day set for Husker football

Lincoln -- Nebraska will kick off the start of preseason practice by meeting and greeting fans for its annual Fan Day on Friday, Aug. 2, at Memorial Stadium. Fan Day represents the best opportunity to meet the Husker players and coaching staff before the start of practice the following day.

Fan Day will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. inside Memorial Stadium with all Husker players and coaches that will be part of preseason camp in attendance and available to fans. Fans will also have the opportunity to be among the first to step foot on the new Memorial Stadium FieldTurf that is currently being installed at the stadium.

Huskers Authentic will be open on Fan Day and will have their usual wide selection of adidas products, as well as this year's media guide and schedule posters.

Nebraska will open practice on Saturday, Aug. 3, as it prepares for the Aug. 31 season opener against Wyoming at Memorial Stadium.
