Seberger leads Lexington to win


Lexington won for the fourth time this season as the Minutemaids downed Hastings 34-27 on Saturday night in high school basketball action. Lexington's Casey Seberger had a huge night for the Minutemaids as she had a season high 21 points. Seberger had 16 points in the first half as Lexington built a 21-12 lead. The Minutemaids would never trail in the second half as they beat winless Hastings for a second time this season. Hastings was led by Paige Kennedy who scored 6 points.

In the boys game, Hastings jumped out a 10-2 lead in the first quarter and eventually pulled away for a 64-44 win against the Minutemen. The Tigers held a 32-20 lead over Lexington at half as the Minutemen would never get closer than 10 in the second half. The Minutemen struggled with 19 turnovers in the game. Lewis-Lewis scored 13 to lead Lexington. Kody Kenton had 10. Tyler Ripperger led Hastings with 15. Will Reimer had 14. Lexington has now lost 9 in a row to fall to 2-9 on the season. Hastings is now 5-5 this season.
