KRVN's Patti Thorell retires
Today we celebrated Patti Thorell's many years of dedicated service to the Nebraska Rural Radio Association. Patti is retiring after 36 years at KRVN Radio. She said that she and husband Dave Thorell had just moved to Lexington and began looking for employment when she got in touch with then General Manager Max Brown. Patti began as Assistant Bookkeeper on Feb. 20, 1978 but, soon transferred to become FM Traffic Director. A position she held for the rest of her career. She explains that the Traffic Director schedules client's commercials to run on the air. She says she enjoys working with people. She and Dave eventually moved back to Loomis but, she says the drives to and from work with Dave is something she will miss. Patti fondly remembers her first day at KRVN when Dave went home from work without her and then remembered he needed someone to cook dinner!
