Dawson still seeks roads chief
Dawson County is continuing to look for a roads superintendent. Qualifications for the job were initially advertised in some area newspapers.
Former roads superintendent Jon Mooberry turned in his letter of resignation in January, citing personal reasons. Mooberry took a position with JEO of Wahoo, the consulting firm that's been working closely with the City of Lexington.
Pat Nichols, administrator of the Dawson County Roads Department says the qualifications for the open position include: a highway superintendent's license, management experience providing the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities that are required for the position, strong written, oral and communication skills, strong computer skills and it's preferred that the individual have a registered professional civil engineer PE or BS degree in civil engineering.
Resumes should be sent to the Dawson County Roads Department in Lexington.
