In one of her final public appearances before heading to Atlantic City for the Miss America Pageant, Miss Nebraska 2013 JaCee Pilkington addressed members of the Scottsbluff Noon Kiwanis Club Thursday. Pilkington tells KNEB News she's ready to represent Nebraska on the national stage two weeks from this Sunday.

Pilkington has spent much of the past three months getting prepared with coaches and trainers for all the various competitions and getting the clothes she needs for nearly two weeks of appearances while at the pageant.

Pilkington will leave for Atlantic City from Omaha next Tuesday, participating in a week of rehearsals and events with other Miss America contestants. Beginning September 9th, Pilkington will begin the preliminary activities, including a 10 minute interview with judges, talent, swimsuit and evening gown competition.

The pageant will take place on Sunday, September 15th. One of the top 15 contestants the night of the pageant will be the one that gets the most votes regarding their video presentation on the Miss America website. JaCee's video is very well done and you can vote for her on the link below, which is also listed on the KNEB News facebook page.
