Opening for Farm Broadcaster/Announcer


KRVN & the Nebraska Rural Radio Network are looking to add to our expanding farm broadcast team. The Nebraska Rural Radio Association is the nation's only producer owned broadcast organization. We are dedicated to serving those involved in production agriculture and the rural lifestyle. We would like to find a friendly, motivated radio talent, with an agricultural background. An agricultural degree, or experience in broadcast journalism is preferred. The perfect candidate will possess:


  • The ability to interview industry experts, government officials, and news makers.

  • The people skills necessary to represent the Rural Radio Network at local, regional, and national agricultural industry events.

  • News writing, gathering, and anchoring skills.

  • The ability to anchor news and market updates.

  • Strong social & digital media skills. Experience with video a plus.

  • Experience with Adobe Audition and other basic broadcast audio software.

  • Talented in commercial production.

Announcer/Board Operator - Part-Time

KRVN AM/FM is seeking a part-time announcer/board operator. This is a great entry level position for someone looking to begin a career in broadcasting. This position includes hosting a night shift on 880 KRVN, reading weather forcasts, covering severe weather events, commercial production, & providing content for our website and social media. Outstanding speaking and organizational skills are a must. This person needs to be friendly, reliable, able to multi task, and ready to work as a member of a great team. Previous training or experience is preferred, but we will train the right individual.
