UNL Researcher Dean Yonts Passes Away

The Agriculture community is mourning the passing of Dean Yonts - long time irrigation specialist for the University of Nebraska Panhandle Research and Extension Center. Yonts passed away at the age of 61 on Friday at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center in Denver, Colorado.

His memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 12, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church in Scottsbluff with Pastor Ted Thode officiating. Cremation was a Sunset Memorial Park Crematory in Scottsbluff.

Memorials may be made to Brent's Place, for assisting patients in need, in care of the family or to the charity of the donor's choice
