Bring on the Snow

As a result of the drought - some key agricultural states need an extremely wet winter to improve moisture levels. That's why the threat of the drought hasn't passed - even though conditions are improving. According to climate experts - some areas would need five to six feet of snow and more than 15 inches of rainfall over the next few months just to get back to normal. But in October - the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration predicted an enhanced chance of below normal precipitation for the middle part of the country this winter.
