Mitchell Schools Finalist For Grant Up To $25K
Mitchell Public Schools is one of 24 finalists in Nebraska eligible to win a grant up to $25 thousand dollars. Mitchell Schools are a finalist to receive consideration for an America's Farmers Grow Rural Education grant. The program is sponsored by the Monsanto Fund to help farmers positively impact their communities and support local rural school districts. In 2012, the Monsanto Fund plans to award nearly $2.3 million to eligible school districts across the country to enhance science and math curriculum. By August 31st, 199 grants for $10 thousand and $25 thousand dollars will be presented to school district in 39 states. Grants will be awarded based on merit, need and community support.
