Reclamation Postpones N. Platte River Meeting

The government shutdown is causing the Bureau of Reclamation to postpone the North Platte River Water Operations meeting. The meeting schedule for October 9th in Torrington has been postponed due to the lapse in federal appropriations.

In a press release from the Bureau of Reclamation, Wyoming Area Manager Coleman Smith says "While this meeting is important to provide the public information regarding Reclamation's North Platte River operations, it is not considered a critical function during the government shutdown".

When the lapse in appropriations is resolved, a new public meeting date will set.
