Patricia K. "Patty" Wright, 52 years of age, of Holdrege, Nebraska
Memorial Services for Patricia K. Wright will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Holdrege Memorial Homes Chapel in Holdrege, Nebraska with Mr. Dan Jensen officiating. Private family inurnment will be held at the Prairie Home Cemetery in Holdrege, at a later date.
Patricia K. "Patty" Wright, 52 years of age, of Holdrege, Nebraska passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at her home in Holdrege. Patricia was born on March 17, 1962 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the fourth of eight children born to Claude W. and Clara Mae (Saunders) Wright. She attended school in Stamford, Nebraska, later graduating from Alma High School with the class of 1980.
In 1983, Patty met DeWayne T. Kimberly and they were blessed with two sons: Aaron and Michael. Dewayne passed away on February 11, 2009.
Patty worked many jobs to help support her family. She babysat, worked as a CNA at Holdrege Memorial Homes and prior to her health declining, she worked as the Manager of McDonald's in Holdrege.
She enjoyed drawing, cooking and baking in her free time. She also enjoyed spending time with her sons and talking with her grandchildren on the phone.
Besides her parents, and life companion, DeWayne Kimberly, she was preceded in death by her brother, Albert Eugene in infancy and sisters, Linda Longsine and Rae Towsend.
Patty leaves to mourn her passing; her children: Aaron Kimberly and his wife, Leah of Nixa, Missouri, Micheal Kimberly of Holdrege; two grandchildren, Brooklyn and Jaxsynn; sisters, Gale Hays and her husband, Larry of Holdrege, Carrie Wingrove of Gibbon, Nebraska; brothers, Russell Wright and his wife, Crystal of Holdrege and Claude Wright of Lincoln, Nebraska; special aunt and uncle, Jules and Harmon Barnes of Wilcox; special niece, Savanna James of Agra, Kansas; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
There will be no visitation, as the family is honoring Patty's wish for cremation.
A memorial has been established in Patty's honor and will be designated at a later date.
