Jenkins expects to be on ballot
Callaway rancher Jim Jenkins expects to be on the U.S. Senate ballot in November with Democrat David Domina and Republican Ben Sasse. As a registered, non-partisan candidate, Jenkins must gather 4, 000 valid signatures from registered voters by September 1st in order to appear on the ballot. He expects to turn in between 5,000 to 6,000 signatures next month to the Secretary of State's Office. Jennkins says his campaign is different in that his focus is on bringing people together as opposed to division by party lines.
