James Owen "Jimmy" Kaiser, 68 years of age, of Holdrege, Nebraska

Memorial Services for James O. "Jimmy" Kaiser will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at the Mosaic Zion Chapel at Bethphage Village of Axtell Campus, Axtell, Nebraska with Pastor John Grosswein officiating. Private family inurnment will be held at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska at a later date.

James Owen "Jimmy" Kaiser, 68 years of age, of Holdrege, Nebraska, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2013 at the Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege, Nebraska. Jimmy was born October 27, 1944 at Omaha, Nebraska, one of three sons born to Roy and Iva (Wood) Kaiser. Over 20 years ago, Jimmy moved to Holdrege and was welcomed into the Sherwin and Betty Sweeley family home.

Through Mosaic, Jimmy worked in the rug room and workshop in Axtell, Nebraska until his recent retirement. He enjoyed his job there making many friends.

Jimmy liked watching Monday Night Wrestling, going for car rides and especially going out to eat. He enjoyed hunting and camping and would sit in the van with Betty and taking photos while Sherwin would be out hunting. Jimmy was a great singer and loved to dance. He was involved in the Lone Star 4-H Club and attended its functions with his host family. Jimmy also enjoyed bossing his host family brother and sister around. He was a great influence on any children that were around him.

He was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church and later attended the All Saints Catholic Church in Holdrege.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jimmy leaves to mourn his passing his host family of over 20 years: Sherwin and Betty Sweeley of Holdrege; host sister, Casey Higgins and her husband, Matthew of Oxford, Nebraska; host brother, Jesse Sweeley and his fiancé, Brianna Baughman of McCook, Nebraska; two brothers: Dennis Kaiser and his wife, Beth of Omaha and Michael Kaiser and his wife, Susan of Omaha; many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.

There will be no visitation, as cremation has been chosen.
A memorial has been established in Jimmy's name and is kindly suggested to Mosaic of Holdrege.
