Leslie Smith Receives National Horizon Award

The Rural Radio Network's own Leslie Smith received the prestigious National Horizon Award at the annual convention of the National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB) on Friday.

Smith serves as the Farm News Director for KNEB AM/FM in Scottsbluff, NE and is a key contributor to ag news stories across the Rural Radio Network of stations including KNEB, KRVN in Lexington, NE, and KTIC in West Point, NE.

The Horizon Award is given annually to recognize rising talent among farm broadcasters who have been NAFB members for five years or less.

Chad Moyer, the Rural Radio Network's Farm Director at KTIC AM/FM in West Point, NE also received a 10-year Tenure Award for his long time membership in NAFB. Tenure Awards are given to members at 5-year increment levels.
