Fremont corn expo to offer ideas to stay competitive

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) _ Farmers and agribusiness professionals are invited to the Fremont Corn Expo next month to help plan for the upcoming growing season.

The free expo is set for Jan. 9 at Christensen Field in Fremont. Registration opens at 8 a.m. The event will include topics and exhibits aimed at providing growers with strategies to remain competitive in the corn industry.

The expo's featured speaker Sue Martin, the president and owner of Ag and Investment Services Inc. in Webster City, Iowa. Martin delivers daily commentary and analysis on the radio, the Internet and on the television show ``Market to Market.''

The event will also discuss hybrids and market trends.

The expo includes a complimentary breakfast and lunch for participants.
