Medical helicopter summoned for Wednesday evening crash
The Nebraska State Patrol reports that three people in their early 20's escaped serious injuries when the eastbound SUV they were riding in rolled into the median near the Brady I-80 interchange (MM 194). All were believed to be from the Lincoln, Nebraska area. The female driver was thrown from the vehicle and sustained injuries.
A decision was made to summon the life flight helicopter to transport her to Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Upon arrival, it was determined she had broken bones, but no life-threatening injuries. The crash occurred at about 7:20 p.m. The driver had apparently drifted too far onto the shoulder, which was soft from Tuesday's snowstorm. Two other individuals in the vehicle were uninjured.
