UnaMae Lanham, age 81 of Ventura, California, formerly of Johnstown and Greeley, Colorado, died Dec 26, 2012.

UnaMae was born May 1, 1931 at home to Percy and Mabel (Love) York in Cozad, Nebraska. She attended country school until high school, where she graduated from Cozad High. She married LeRoy Lanham of Cozad, on Feb. 14, 1950, in Cozad. They later divorced. They moved to the Johnstown area in 1954 where they raised their three daughters. UnaMae worked for the Johnstown Breeze for a number of years. She was a 4-H knitting leader for over 49 years. She was a 49-year breast cancer survivor.

UnaMae was a member of the United Methodist Church of Johnstown and was known as the "Pie Lady" for many church functions.

UnaMae is survived by her daughters, Ellen (Ken) of Greeley, CO, Linda (Michael) of Ventura, CA, and Lisa (Dennis) of Colorado Springs, CO; seven grandchildren, Bryan (Michelle) of Loveland, CO, Kevin (Crystal) of Greeley, CO, Kris, Ben and Emily of Colorado Springs, CO, and Daniel and Eric of Ventura, CO; five great-grandchildren, Bill, Abby, Wyatt, and Katie of Greeley and Loveland, CO, and Samantha of Colorado Springs, CO; one brother, Carl York of Cozad; and friend LeRoy Lanham of Greelev, CO.

UnaMae was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Lucy.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cozad United Methodist Church with Pastor Doug Smith officiating. Inurnment will be in the Cozad Cemetery.

Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad is in charge of arrangements.
