Mildred Maxine Moline, 92 years of age, of Holdrege

Funeral Services for Mildred M. Moline will be conducted from the First United Methodist Church in Holdrege, Nebraska on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Jeff Adams officiating. Interment will be in the Prairie Home Cemetery at Holdrege.

Mildred Maxine Moline, 92 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at the Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege. She was born on December 31, 1921 at Edison, Nebraska, the third of four children of William and Pearl (Klienschrodt) Melroy. At a young age, Mildred and her family relocated to Holdrege, where she received her education from Holdrege Public Schools and graduated from Holdrege High School with the class of 1938.

On September 11, 1944, she was united in marriage to Wallace Leander Moline at the Methodist parsonage in Holdrege and to this union three children were born: Robert, Richard and Linda. The family made their home on the family farm 13 miles north of Holdrege. Mildred enjoyed life on the farm, taking coffee to the fields in the morning and lunch in the afternoon. She also focused her efforts on raising their children. Mildred and Wallace continued to reside on the farm until moving to Holdrege in 1981. Mildred was preceded in death by Wallace on March 31, 1999.

Mildred was a member of First United Methodist Church in Holdrege for over 50 years, where she taught Sunday school and served on several committees including the UMW (United Methodist Women).

Mildred was a talented seamstress making clothes for the children when they were young and later in years enjoyed crocheting. The family enjoyed spending time together fishing and family gatherings. She enjoyed being active through the years, playing cards and socializing with her friends at the Holdrege Senior Center.

Besides her parents and her husband, Wallace; Mildred was preceded in death by her son, Robert on May 20, 2006; two brothers: Willard and Alan Melroy; and one sister, Violet Johnson and her husband, Al.

She leaves to mourn her passing; her son, Richard Moline of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter, Linda Schrock and her husband, Van of Lincoln, Nebraska; daughter-in-law, Judy Moline of Texas; three grandchildren: Jason Schrock of Lincoln, Marta Schrock of Omaha, Nebraska and Coty Moline of Phoenix; sister-in-law, Maxine Melroy of Holdrege; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

A memorial has been established in Mildred's honor and kindly suggested to the First United Methodist Church in Holdrege.
