Access sites to Platte, Elkhorn rivers close

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) _ High water on the Platte and Elkhorn rivers has forced
officials to close access sites in Douglas County.

The Papio-Missouri River Natural Resources District says the high water creates
dangerous boating conditions on the rivers. The access sites will be closed
until at least Monday. It will be contingent on the rivers returning to
near-normal conditions.

The closed river access sites include Platte River Landing near Highway 64 and
Elkhorn River sites at Elkhorn Crossing near 252nd St. and Bennington Road.
