Lex community gives BIG

The Lexington Community Foundation's annual fundraising banquet raised an estimated $314,000 Saturday night. Proceeds from the banquet will be used as match money for this fall's Give BIG Lexington event, the YMCA of Lexington, the school's Majestic Theater project and also to the Foundation's permanent endowment. The event, known as The KEY, was highlighted by the announcement of a $2 Million pledge to the YMCA's building campaign by the Orthman family of companies and their owners John and Nancy McCoy.
