Kearney standoff ends with arrest

The Kearney Police Department responded to a disturbance call at 1613 Ave G in Kearney just after 6 p.m. on Sunday. Police established a perimeter near the home at around 7 p.m. Members of the Kearney/Buffalo County Emergency Response Unit took a 32 year old male into custody without incident at about 8:50 p.m. The subject was arrested and transported to the Buffalo County Jail for terroristic threats, false imprisonment and use of a weapon to committ a felony. The incident remains under investigation according to Kearney Police Sergeant Greg Urbanek.
