USDA Ag Coexistence Plan Comment Period Extended

Agri-Pulse reports the U.S. Department of Agriculture published its proposal in November to strengthen agricultural coexistence in the United States.

USDA has decided to extend the comment public period for 60 days - which makes the new deadline March 4th.

Coexistence is defined as the concurrent cultivation of crops produced through diverse agricultural systems - including traditionally produced, organic, identity preserved and genetically engineered crops.

USDA's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service says the department supports all forms of agriculture and wants each sector to be as successful as possible - providing products to markets in the U.S. and abroad.
