Heineman: Young people need passion, enthusiasm, confidence

Governor Dave Heineman told two groups of young people during a visit to the Scottsbluff area today they are "future of the state." Heineman spoke to fifth graders at Mitchell High School who are learning about entrepreneurship and to the Scottsbluff Next Young Professionals Group at the Harms Center.

Heineman says his message to the fifth graders involved staying in school and taking advantage of every opportunity to learn. Heineman says the state is trying to identify young entrepreneurs at an early age so they can be mentored in the field they are interested in and create jobs in the state as they get older.

Heineman told the Young Professionals to involve themselves in civic organizations, lead by example with passion, enthusiasm and integrity and have confidence in themselves.
