A Lexington man faces a charge of First Degree Assault following an incident at his business earlier this year. According to the Dawson County Sheriff's Office, Randy Thornburg had a tow truck at Central Tire and Tread southeast of Lexington for a repair. Thornburg is an owner of Randy and Brian's Towing. A verbal altercation took place between Thornburg and Central Tire owner Ernie Harris. Thornburg attempted to leave but, Harris allegedly grabbed him from behind and pulled him back. It caused Thornburg to fall backwards striking his head on the cement. Thornburg was transported to Lexington Regional Health Center for a head injury by rescue unit and then transferred to Kearney's Good Samaritan Hospital. The 56-year-old Harris's arraignment is scheduled for Wednesday morning in Dawson County Court.
