Chanhsamone "Samone" "Jen" Sotphrachith, 33, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died April 25, 2014 at Gothenburg Memorial Hospital in Gothenburg, NE.

She was born October 10, 1980 in a refugee camp in Thailand, daughter of Bounchanh and Vilayvone (Sotthachith) Sotphrachith. She moved to the United States with her family when she was just five months old.

Samone lived in Lexington most of her younger life, she also lived at Blair and Lincoln. She spent a few years at Callaway before moving to Gothenburg. She was a waitress at many restaurants and worked as a cashier at Callaway Drug. After her daughter was born, she became a stay-at-home mom. She enjoyed cooking and always kept her home very clean. She loved watching movies and listening to music. She loved helping others and spending quality time with her daughter and pets.

She is survived by her daughter Joslyn Odessa Edgington of Callaway, NE; parents Bounchanh and Vilayvone Sotphrachith; two brothers, Robert and Bobby Sotphrachith; sister Sisouvone Sotphrachith all of Nebraska City, NE; nephew, Nathaniel Colin Sotphrachith; boyfriend Aaron Beachel of Gothenburg; and numerous other family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska; Friday, May 02, 2014 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm with the family present from 5-7 pm.

Services will be held May 3, 2014, 1:00 pm at the Evangelical Free Church, 1721 Lake Avenue, Gothenburg, NE with Pastor Nathaniel Gustafson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Callaway, Nebraska.
