Graffiti spree cleared

Lexington Police have connected two individuals to about 15 cases of criminal mischief in Lexington over the weekend. A 20-year-old Lexington man, Mario Atilano, was arrested on suspicion of 13 counts of applying graffiti and one count of shoplifting. Police Chief Tracy Wolf says the shoplifting charge is related to the theft of the paint from Wal-mart. A 15-year-old juvenile has been charged with 13 counts of applying graffiti. He was cited and released to a parent. Several of the cases resulted in $1,000 worth of damages from the graffiti.

On Saturday morning, 26-year-old David Martinez of Lexington was arrested by officers for Reckless Driving on Maple Street. Martinez reportedly was trying to run a car off the road that he thought was involved in the vandalism of his property.

Early Sunday morning a 23-year-old Lexington man, German Ramirez, was arrested for domestic assault and child abuse. A 22-year-old woman was reported as the victim of an assault and a one-year-old baby was left unattended when Ramirez fled the area.
