Kimball FFA Alumni Show This Weekend

Summer time means show time for livestock exhibitors. The region offers several livestock and horse shows. This weekend is the Kimball FFA Alumni 11th Annual Lamb, Beef and Pig Jackpot Show at the Kimball County Fairgrounds. In a interview with KNEB/Rural Radio Network, Kimball FFA Advisor Alan Held says it's a opportunity for 4-H and FFA youth to show at another venue outside the county fair.

The two day show starts with progress hog show on Saturday. The hog show begins on Saturday with the weigh in from noon to 2pm and the show begins at 3pm. On Sunday, June 16th is the beef and sheep show with weigh in from 8 to 10am. The lamb show begins at 10:30, followed by the beef show.

The jackpot show offers guaranteed winnings for top livestock. $250 for Grand Champion progress beef $200 for reserve champion with $200 for Grand Champion progress hog, lamb and breeding heifer....$100 for reserve champions. Showmanship will be strictly jackpot. The show also features a Pee Wee division for youth under 8 years old.
