Power restored to Roosevelt Gering Valley customers

Power has been returned to Roosevelt Public Power District's Gering Valley customers after a close to two hour power outage Friday morning. The utility says the issue was in the substation that served that area, and it impacted KNEB AM and FM, which was off the air for an hour until service could be restored at our transmitter sites south of Gering. The outage occurred shortly before 9 a.m. and service was restored at approximately 10:40 a.m.

Wind gusts of up to 65 miles per hour were measured early this morning and a High Wind Advisory is in effect for the area until 6 p.m. this evening. There were also some rain reports
