2 Nebraskans, 2 young nephews killed in Colorado crash

Authorities say four people were killed and another was critically injured when a flatbed truck crashed into a car in Weld County. Colorado.

Cpl. Heather Cobler, a spokeswoman for the Colorado State Patrol, says a man driving the truck was southbound on County Road 49 when he crashed into a car that was headed east on County Road 54 on Saturday morning.

The truck driver was taken by helicopter to a hospital, but details of his injuries were not released.

Two adults and one child that were in the car were pronounced dead at the scene. Another child in the car was pronounced dead at a hospital in Aurora.

Weld County Coroner Mark Ward told the Greeley Tribune that the victims were 45-year-old Jamie Prado-Garcia and his wife, 63-year-old Linda Alvarez, both of Omaha. The two children in the car, 8-year-old Pedro Partida and 2-year-old Christian Partida of Evans, Colorado, were nephews of Prado-Garcia.
