Teen Challenge of the Midland's Boys Ranch receives construction grant

Teen Challenge of the Midland's Boy's Ranch south of Alliance has received a $385,000 construction grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank based in Topeka, Kansas.

This grant is designated for building improvements, and will be utilized to completely renovate the Eagle Ranch House, which was built in 1967 by the Fraternal Order of Eagles of the State of Nebraska in honor of Arvila Snow Redfern.

Teen Challenge will begin construction work on the ranch house beginning in January, 2014, and is expected to complete the work by August.

The new facility will allow for the acceptance of 16 boys into the program in the fall of 2014, and an additional 20 boys by the spring 2015.

Teen Challenge is seeking additional grants to renovate the remaining eleven buildings on the Boy's Ranch Campus.
