Nebraska hosting USDA listening session

Nebraska will be hosting listening session addressing the future of agriculture. Omaha will host a listening session on January 14th on proposal to develop Innovation Institutes for Agricultural Challenges.

The President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) has recommend the development of six innovation institutes through public-private partnerships.
US Department of Agriculture Under Secretary Catherine Woteki, Undersecretary for Research, Education, and Economics will be in attendance.

The session is designed to hear from interested parties, academic institutions and private industry businesses about the structure or model of this partnership and the top challenges the institutes should address.

The session will be held 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.CT at the Scott Conference Center in Omaha.
