(Audio) York man identified from Lincoln treatment center death

LINCOLN – The York Police Department has identified 55-year-old Nicholas White of York as the deceased man from Wednesday night’s incident at a Lincoln treatment center. Police responded to a call from White’s family around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday. Chief Don Klug said White was then taken into custody.

White was then transferred to a The Bridge Behavioral Health Center in Lincoln for detox on belief of intoxication. Just before 10:30 pm Wednesday, staff members at The Bridge found White unresponsive. Life saving measures were taken by Lincoln Fire and Rescue but he was pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation is underway and an autopsy has been ordered.

The Bridge is a professional, nationally-accredited treatment center, specializing in treating alcoholism and drug addiction.
