Officers of the Lexington Police Department arrested a suspect Tuesday evening who was wanted in a terroristic threats case. The case stems from an incident on Sunday. According to the Dawson County Sheriff’s office, a 31 year old Lexington woman was in her vehicle with her children when she was the victim of a terroristic threat. It was alleged that a person pointed a short-handled long-gun at the woman and her children near St. Ann’s Cemetery east of Lexington. The suspect, 36-year-old Jeremy Moore, could not be located at the time. But, Lexington officers located him outside of his residence Tuesday evening. A search after being detained yielded a bag of suspected Methamphetamine in his pants pocket.

Moore was arranged in Dawson County Court on Wednesday on charges of Terroristic Threats, Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Bond of all charges was consolidated into 10-% of $100,000. Preliminary Hearing on all charges was scheduled for April 13, 2018 at 8:30am.

Moore was out on bond on charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle to Avoid Arrest and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Moore has pled not guilty to those charges and is set for jury trial in Dawson County District Court on June 19, 2018.
