Scottsbluff Police are investigating the break-in of a Gering Police vehicle that resulted in the theft of an AR-15 assault rifle.
Police were dispatched to the 3100 block of 17th Avenue at around 1:40 Monday morning in reference to a theft from a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, it was discovered that at Gering Police Department marked patrol car had been broken into.
Items stolen from the vehicle include a department issued Frerking Custom Works (FCW) AR-15 rifle.
Scottsbluff Police are actively working leads in the case, and urge anyone with information about the case to contact them at 632-7176, or call Crime Stoppers at 632-STOP.
