YORK – A 14-year-old boy was send to the hospital after his bike collided head on with a car.

York Police Sergeant Michael Hanke said authorities responded to the accident at 3:51 p.m. near North East Ave. and 6th Street.

Hanke said a car was eastbound on 6th St. and a bicycle was westbound when the two collided…

The boy was transported to York General with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, 80-year-old Shirley Van Patten received no injuries. The vehicle sustained $2,500 worth of damage.
