AURORA, Neb. – An Aurora man has been charged for his part in a domestic physical altercation, merely days before Christmas.
On Dec. 20, according to court documents, Aurora Police Officers were dispatched to a report of a physical altercation between a male and multiple females. Upon arrival, Christopher Atwill, 27, was outside attempting to throw a large log through a window with visible lacerations to his arms. A female came out of the residence screaming, with injuries to her face and a chipped tooth. Officers entered the residence and found a second female with injuries to her face and hands.
All subjects were intoxicated. It is said that Atwill became upset at her and began striking her in the face and choking her to the point that her breathing was obstructed. Female two attempted to get between to the two and Atwill began to strike her.
Atwill is charged with 1st Degree Domestic Assault, Strangulation, and 3rd Degree Assault. He will appear for Felony First Appearance in Hamilton County Court on Jan. 9 at 9 a.m.
