Aurora planetarium showing in Gering is sold out

The Gering Library says they have every spot reserved and have a waiting list as the Edgerton Explorit Center in Aurora, Nebraska presents a free traveling planetarium show Friday at Lincoln Elementary School from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The planetarium is not only capable of showing the daytime and nighttime sky, but also pre-recorded full dome planetarium shows. The planetarium will also be part of a series of educational activities and events center around the August 21 total solar eclipse and its path across Nebraska. The activities Friday will mention and not focus on the Eclipse, according to Librarian Diane Downer.

The Gering Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Friends of Gering Public Library are bringing this event to the community.
