Scottsbluff Police say there were only minor injuries Tuesday morning when three vehicles collided at the intersection  of Highway 26 and Avenue I.

The investigation found that a 2006 Ford minivan driven by 30-year-old Anna Grow  of Scottsbluff was southbound on Avenue I approaching the intersection with Highway 26.

A 2013 Kia Optima driven by 43-year-old Deetta Bingham of Guernsey, WY was eastbound on Highway 26 approaching Avenue I.  The third involved vehicle was a 2012 GMC Yukon driven by Gaylene Reisig, which was stopped facing north in the turn lane at the intersection of Highway 26 and Avenue I.

The southbound Ford failed to stop for the red traffic signal and entered the intersection where it was struck by the east bound Kia.  The impact caused the Ford to rotate and strike the stopped GMC.  Three passengers of the Kia were treated at Regional West Medical Center for minor injuries.

Grow was issued a citation for failure to stop at the red traffic signal and no proof of insurance.  The Ford and Kia were total losses.  The GMC sustained approximately $7,000 in damages.  Scottsbluff Fire and Valley Ambulance assisted in the response.

The accident occurred at 10:20 a.m.
