A 38 year old Scottsbluff woman is in the Scotts Bluff County jail after allegedly striking her mother with a yardstick.
Court documents say Police responded Friday evening to a residence in the 2200 block of Second Avenue where the victim said she was in severe pain from the attack by her daughter Julie Osteen. The documents say the officer could hear Osteen threatening her mother in the background and the suspect was combative as she was handcuffed and placed in the patrol car.
The documents say the two women had been arguing about the suspect’s daughter and the victim had bruises on her left calf and leg from being struck by the yardstick. Julie Osteen claimed her mother had been abusive to her and her daughter.
Osteen was arrested for second degree assault and resisting arrest.
