Careful…it’s slick out there!

Careful…it’s slick out there!
RRN/ Traffic moving carefully on westbound Interstate 80 between Elm Creek and Overton Thursday morning., December 21, 2017.

Winter arrives today…both literally and in terms of the weather.
Be careful if you are traveling today as drizzle is expected to
become freezing drizzle by midday as temperatures drop. Light icing
is possible…especially on bridges and overpasses by early
afternoon. Eventually…deepening cold air will turn precipitation
to snow by evening…but snow amounts will generally be one inch or
less. A mild start today wont last long as temperatures fall into
the 20s behind a cold front. Look for a stiff north breeze across
the area by the noon hour.
