A fundraiser Saturday raised over $3,500 for Leigh Anne Toffelmeier, a Gering Lincoln Elementary music teacher, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in July.

Booster Club treasurer Ashley Ybarra thanked everyone who came out to participate in the “Team T” cornhole tournament for Mrs. Toffelmeier.

6th grade teacher Tracy Steele said $100 of the more than $3,500 raised came from the Snowie Bus.

The KNEB Live Truck was also there to promote the event.

Adult winners of the tournament included Cody Nelson and Kayla Paradies. Kids winners included Alec Sibal and Hunter Walker.

Tina Romey won the Husker Cornhole Boards in a raffle, and the Deadwood Trip, donated by KNEB went to Becky Fitts.

In July, neighbors raised a whopping $1,750 for Toffelmeier in just a few hours with a lemonade stand organized by volunteers.
