David City pursuit results in one man in cuffs

DAVID CITY – A man was arrested Wednesday morning after a short pursuit near David City.

According to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 12:07 a.m., a deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic infraction. The vehicle did not stop and a pursuit ensued north of David City on Hwy 15.

The pursuit reached speeds of 100 mph before the vehicle lost control at the Hwy 64/15 junction, approximately five miles north of David City. A foot pursuit then ensued in a field and after a short time, deputies were able to track the subject down and arrest him.

The subject, Bradley Allen, was in possession of a stolen vehicle from Lincoln and had outstanding warrants. Allen was taken to the Butler County Health Care Center for medical clearance before being lodged in the Butler County Detention Center.
