The driver of a sugar beet hauler was fortunate to walk away without apparent injury after the vehicle rolled over south of Torrington Thursday evening.
The Goshen County Sheriff’s Department says emergency responders were called to the scene at mile marker three of State Highway 92, also known as the Huntley Highway, around 6:20 pm.
Sheriff Jeremy Wardell says the vehicle was loaded and traveling westbound apparently headed to the Torrington sugar factory at the time of the accident.
Torrington Volunteer Fire says extrication equipment was required to free the driver… and firefighters had to control leaking diesel fuel.
The roadway was closed for several hours for clean up and investigation of the scene.
The Wyoming Highway Patrol has yet to release the identity and home town of the driver.
