* Until 630 PM CDT Thursday.

* At 625 PM CDT, Flooding will continue across eastern Nebraska and
western Iowa tonight and through the day tomorrow as runoff and
snowmelt continue. Additional rainfall of a half inch to an inch,
mostly north of the Platte River in Nebraska, will also contribute
to continued flooding. Please exercise caution when traveling, and
do not crossed flooded roadways.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Omaha, Lincoln, Norfolk, Columbus, Beatrice, Falls City, Council
Bluffs, Bellevue, Fremont, Papillion, La Vista, Blair, Nebraska
City, Seward, Crete, Plattsmouth, Schuyler, Ralston, Red Oak and
Wayne.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
