The four men arrested in a Saturday evening undercover prostitution sting will make their first court appearances on Monday afternoon in Scotts Bluff County Court.
Court documents say undercover investigators posted advertisements on the internet with subjects including “Let us make your fantasy come true,” and “Female looking to play.”
The men responded to the ads and texted the “females” to arrange pricing and the location where to meet up. Once they arrived to the location, the arrest team answered the door and arrested the culprits.
Court documents say 64-year-old Marty Houser of Scottsbluff and 20-year-old Benjamin Rein of Torrington both agreed to pay $300 to have sex with a 15-year-old girl and her mother. They were arrested on charges of Sex Trafficking (Class 1B Felony), Solicitation of Prostitution (Class IV felony and Class 1 misdemeanor). Both are being held on a $50,000 bond.
Brent TinnellCourt documents say that 25-year-old Brent Tinnell of Minatare agreed to pay $20 for a sex act, and when he arrived to the location they also found a small amount of methamphetamine on him. He was arrested on charges of: Solicitation of Prostitution (Class 1 misdemeanor) and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class IV felony). He is being held on a $25,000 bond.
Court documents say that 47-year- old Alfredo Castro of Wheat Ridge, Colorado agreed to pay $80 for four hours of sex. He was arrested on one charge of Solicitation of Prostitution (Class 1 misdemeanor). He is being held on a $15,000 bond.
The investigation was a collaborative effort of nine different agencies including the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office, the Scotts Bluff County Attorney’s Office, the Salvation Army, the Nebraska State Patrol, the Scottsbluff Police Department, the Gering Police Department, the Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Office, the Sidney Police Department and the Alliance Police Department.
Scottsbluff Police Chief Kevin Spencer said that he is always impressed and proud of the professionalism of area and state law enforcement officials who are willing to come together to make a difference.
